Journalists who have endured death threats, physical attacks and imprisonment are being honored in New York with Press Freedom Awards. The Committee to Protect Journalists' 2015 International Press Freedom Awards will be presented to Malaysia's Zulkiflee Anwar Ulhaque, Paraguay's Candido Figueredo Ruiz and bloggers and journalists from Ethiopia and Syria. 1. Chinese city of Hangzhou has been confirmed as the host of the 2022 Asian Games, the Olympic Council of Asia announced at its General Assembly in Ashgabat. Hangzhou in eastern China – best known for the West Lake, a placid and much-painted tourist attraction – was the only candidate city to stage the 19th edition of Asia's biggest multi-sports event. China has hosted the Asian Games twice before, at Beijing in 1990 and Guangzhou in 2010, and has already been awarded the Winter Olympics in 2022. The award comes shortly after Beijing won the right to host the 2022 Winter Olympics, having hosted the Summer Games in 2008, and means China will host two major multi-sport events in the same year. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has launched the Headend In The Sky (HITS) digital platform initiative, under the brand name NXT DIGITAL promoted by Hinduja Group. The launch would provide consumers with wider choice. Now the viewers can have access to over 500 television channels of their choice – international, national, regional and local; besides a host of other services like e-applications and TV everywhere. "Shauryanjali", an exhibitions has been launched showcasing the major battle scenes and captured tanks of the Pakistani Army during the 1965 war, started at central Delhi's Rajpath on 15th September 2015 in order to celebrate the golden jubilee celebrations of the 1965 war. The six-day exhibition showcases the role played by CRPF, International Red Cross, media, Prasar Bharati along with the armed forces, manoeuvre by fighter jets and stunts by para troopers. 2,862 soldiers gave up their life protecting the motherland. 211 of them were given gallantry awards.
