*TET Full form:-
TEACHERS ELIGIBILITY
TEST.
*Karnataka TET (KTET)
is for the candidates
aspiring to become
teachers in primary
(class 1-5) & upper
primary (class 6-8) in
the state of Karnataka.
KTET QUALIFICATIONS:-
For Paper I:
*Teachers of classes
for 1-5(Paper I)
candidates should have
passed in senior
secondary /its
equivalent with at least
45% marks.
*Those appears in final-
2year Diploma in
Elementary Education/
4year Bachelor of
Elementary Education
(B.El.Ed)/
2year Diploma in
Education in special
Education are also
eligible. OR
FOR PAPER II:
candidates with B.A/B.Sc
with at least 50%
marks( for
General&OBC) &45%
marks( for SC,ST&C1)
and B.Ed. qualification
can also apply.
NOTE:
*TET is compulsory for
all the B.Ed. qualified
candidates to be
considered for
teachers jobs in
schools run by the
Government & private
managements.
*Candidates who are
studying in Final Year of
D.Ed. &B.Ed. can also
apply.
