103rd edition of Indian Science

Mysuru: The 103rd edition of Indian
Science Congress (ISC), the country's
largest science event, will be held at
University of Mysore from January 3-7,
2016.
The five-day congress will comprise
plenary sessions, Pride of India expo,
Hall of Pride, genesis symposium,
Vigyan Jyot, vision talks, women and
children science congress, young
scientist's award, ISCA awards, science
communicators' meet and public
lectures, ISC said in a release.
This prestigious congress is returning
to Karnataka after a 13-year gap
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is
expected to inaugurate the ISC on
January 3, the release said.
The Congress, with the focal theme
'Science and Technology for Indigenous
Development in India', will be addressed
by over 500 eminent scientists and
experts.
Five Nobel laureates have already
confirmed they would deliver highlight
talks, it said.
The Congress will attract 15,000
delegates from across India and abroad
from leading research institutes, PSUs,
universities and industry, it added.
Science exhibition 'Pride of India Expo',
one of the biggest attractions, will
showcase over 450 institutions from the
public and private sectors, showcasing
cutting edge innovations.

ಮೈಸೂರು: 34 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಬಳಿಕ ಅಂದರೆ
2016ಕ್ಕೆ ಮೈಸೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂಡಿಯನ್ ಸೈನ್ಸ್
ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಸಮಾವೇಶ ಅಯೋಜಿಸಲು
ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ರೀತಿಯ
ಪೂರ್ವ ತಯಾರಿಗೆ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆ ನಡೆಸ
ತೊಡಗಿದೆ.
ಇಂದಿರಾಗಾಂಧಿಯವರು 1982 ರಲ್ಲಿ
ಪ್ರಧಾನಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಸಂಧರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ 69 ನೇ
ಇಂಡಿಯನ್ ಸೈನ್ಸ್ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್
ಸಮಾವೇಶವನ್ನು ಮೈಸೂ ರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಅದೇ ರೀತಿ 2016 ಕ್ಕೆ ಮೈಸೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ
ನಡೆಯುವ ಅದೇ ಸಮಾವೇಶವನ್ನು ಇಂದಿನ
ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ನರೇಂದ್ರಮೋದಿ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಲಿರುವರು.

ಸಮಾವೇಶ ಜನವರಿ 3 ರಿಂದ 7 ರ ತನಕ
ಮುಂಬೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಲಿದ್ದು, ಯುನಿವರ್ಸಿಟಿ
ಆಫ್ ಮುಂಬೈ ಇದರ ಅತಿಥ್ಯ ವಹಿಸಿದೆ. ಅದರ
ಮುಂದಿನ ಅತಿಥ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿ
ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿ ಕುಲಪತಿ

ಸಂತಸ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಮಟ್ಟದ ಸಮಾವೇಶವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಸಮಾವೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ
15,000 ಮಂದಿ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು
ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕನಿಷ್ಟ 10 ಮಂದಿ
ನೊಬೆಲ್ ಪುರಸ್ಕೃತರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವರು.
ದೊಡ್ಡ ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ
ಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆ ನಡೆಯಲಿದ್ದು, ಮೂರು ದಿನಗಳ
ಕಾಲ ನಡೆಯುವ ಸಮಾವೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕ ಮಂದಿಗೆ
ಸನ್ಮಾನವನ್ನು ಸಹ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದರು.
ಇಂದೊಂದು ದೇಶದ
ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ ಸಮಾವೇಶವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಇದನ್ನು
ಯಶಸ್ವಿಗೊಳಿಸಿ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಹಾಗೂ
ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿಯ ಘನತೆ ಉಳಿಸುವ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ
ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಮೇಲಿದ್ದು ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೇ
ಇಂದಿನಿಂದಲೇ ಪೂರ್ವ ತಯಾರಿ
ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ
ಸಂಘಟನೆ ವಿಚಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಣಕಾಸಿನ ಕ್ರೋಢಿಕರಣ
ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು ಸಮಾವೇಶದ
ಜತೆಗೆ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿಯ ಶತಮಾನೋತ್ಸವವು ಅದೇ ವರ್ಷ
